Choice's ticket printing software can print your tickets on industry standard thermal ticket printers or dot matrix printers. Dot matrix printers can handle continuous forms, cut sheets, labels, and envelopes and are geared toward organizations for which price is the primary concern. Thermal ticket printers are the preferred option because the quality and durability of a thermal printer is normally far superior to that of a dot matrix printer.

Choice has three preferred thermal printer vendors: Practical Automation, Boca Systems and Datamax. All have a variety of machines in all sizes that offer interesting and useful features, including an optional "cutter", dual path capabilities (so you can print on two different types of ticket stock), adjustable paper guide and two-sided printing. The cost for these printers can go up to $5,000, but the most common models are priced between $1,100 and $2,200.
