Choice believes very strongly in providing outstanding services, beginning with the initial installation and continuing on through customer support, upgrades and custom programming.

We want to be the "easy solution," so there are no extra charges for on-site installation, upgrades or basic data conversion with the exception of direct travel expenses.

Installation and Education

Under normal circumstances our installation specialist will arrive on-site and spend four full days educating the staff on the features and benefits of Choice. Clients will learn how to build seat charts, create events and series, set up marketing codes, run reports and a myriad of other important functions. The planned use of Choice's Fundraising, Membership and Volunteer modules might require an extra day of on-site education.

Customer Support

Choice Customer Support is located in Boulder, Colorado and provides support 24/7, with the support line staffed Monday through Friday from 10am to 7pm EST (9am-6pm CST, 8am-5pm MST, 7am-4pm PST).

Support is handled primarily via telephone, but Choice's support staff also has the ability to dial into your network (with your permission, of course) to perform on-screen diagnostics and system analysis.

The cost for Choice Support is extremely competitive (in some cases thousands of dollars less per year than our direct competitors!) and is based on both the purchase price of the software and the method of connectivity (internet or dialup). Support is based on an annual contract and payment for the next year is due on the contract's renewal date. Support is not available on a "per call" or seasonal basis.

Upgrades

Customers with current support contracts are eligible to receive program upgrades and new versions at no charge.

Enhancements

We pay careful attention to the needs and requests of our clients and constantly strive to enhance the software with new features. Due to the robust nature of Choice's development platform, new enhancements are forthcoming on a regular basis. All enhancement requests are logged and an estimate is given on how long it will take to incorporate the new feature(s) into the standard version of Choice. If the client making the request cannot wait for the general release of the version containing the enhancement, or if the request is specific to a certain client scenario, then a custom program can be written.

Custom Programming

A custom programming agreement expedites the request and is chargeable at the rate of $100 per hour with a minimum charge of $300. It is understood that Choice reserves the right to incorporate the change into our standard software to benefit all clients, even if just one client is paying for the program.

Data Conversion

Choice can import data from almost any source, provided it can be formatted into some type of PC file format. Acceptable formats include DBF, ASCII Delimited Text, MS Access and MS Excel. It is the client's responsibility to "clean up" their database as much as possible before the conversion process begins.

A basic data conversion includes name, address and telephone information. Any other data that can be easily converted into Choice as customer codes (such as marketing information indicating interest in a certain type of event, or identifying subscribers from a certain year) is also included at no additional charge.

Once Choice receives the clean database in an acceptable format it generally takes only a few hours to execute the conversion. If the client does not provide a clean database from which to convert and the conversion takes an inordinate amount of time, then Choice reserves the right to charge the custom programming rate of $100 per hour for the additional work. Choice does not convert seat location or ticket history.
